Phil in the park
We didn't stumble upon it; Jeff and I heard from other tapers the night before that Phil was going to do a free set in the park the next day at one PM. Over breakfast we decided to check it out. Sorry I missed this
As a longtime Deadhead and Phil fan, I came to town to see P&F at the Best Buy Saturday night. The next morning I decided to ride through Central Park and checked out about 10 bands playing in the gorgeous fall setting. Oh, to have stubbled across Phil and his band humbly playing with all the amateur bands...

Wow, what an amazing event. I peeped out some video of this the day after it happened, and Phil, Joe and Eric appeared to be having as much fun as the mini-super-lucky-audience. Phil just gives and gives and gives.
About 6 minutes into the track 2 "Jam," there are echoes of "Killer Joe." Of course, it wanders in and out of several terra incognitae, but there are echoes. I would love to hear this trio in other gigs and settings.
How wonderful would it have been to stumble upon this in the Park? Taper Travitz must have a good story to tell.
